While I have a little down time at work I thought I would update y’all on how I am doing. Today has been a good eating day so far. I am trying to eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible. I fixed enough green smoothie to have a quart for breakfast and a quart for an afternoon snack. I also brought some homemade guacamole, but it seemed to have too much garlic and onion for my taste. I didn’t want to eat chips just yet so I brought some baby carrots to dip in it. Yeah, that didn’t go over so well. First off the carrots were really thick, not the little thin baby carrots and these carrots were so loud. Every time I would try to be quiet chomping on them it just seemed to be even louder. It felt like the office was completely quiet except for the massive loud chomping sound of carrots. You know when you get that feeling that everybody is probably thinking which cubicle is that loud obnoxious sound coming from? So, note to self, buy smaller carrots.
Even after my afternoon smoothie I still seemed to be hungry by 3:30. So my co-worker gave me some almonds to snack on. I don’t think that’s too bad to have a 100 calorie pack of almonds.
Not sure what me and the hubby are doing for dinner yet. But, so far I’ve been very good. Oh, also I tried putting coconut water in my smoothie and it was divine! I kind of had a tropical smoothie this morning. Kind of like a green pina colada: Coconut water, pineapple, spinach, kale, and some strawberries. Yum! Have I mentioned I LOVE my Vita-mix?! 🙂
